Bringing childrens services together

Under One Vision, the multi agency partnership plan for children, young people and their families, all the agencies working with children in Cornwall believe that greater integration is the best way of improving the effectiveness of services.  From 1 April 2019 Cornwall Council are bringing all of the children's services together under an integrated children's services directorate called Together for Families.

Children's Community Health

The Public Health Nursing Service provides health visitors, school nurses and some specialist speech and language therapy staff across Cornwall.  We provide child and family health services as well as services for vulnerable children and families.

Children's Social Care

Children's social care services lead on safeguarding children and young people, supporting families and working together with others to deliver a wide range services to help and protect vulnerable children, including the Council’s adoption and fostering services.

Education

Education services work to ensure that no child is left behind and that young people are prepared for adulthood.  We continue to work with schools so that they are integral to their local communities and also develop and deliver attractive adult and community education services.
