Covid-19 Policy
Updated February 2022
As a school we are following government guidance.
Although the country has now moved to “Living with COVID-19” with the onus on personal responsibility, as a school, we continue to follow and abide by government guidance. This therefore means than any member of staff or child who tests positive is required to self-isolate. Our children have lost enough education throughout the pandemic and we therefore need to mitigate against any further spread.
Control Measures
As a school we continue our robust hygiene and cleaning procedures and keep occupied spaces well ventilated as much as possible.
Testing Positive for Covid-19
Pupils, staff and other adults should follow guidance on https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-people-with-covid-19-and-their-contacts if they have symptoms of Covid-19.
Trewirgie Junior School continues to follow these guidelines and requires anyone with a positive test to follow the government guidance to self-isolate (see above). This is to ensure the safety of our whole school community and to stop the spread. As a school it is of upmost importance that we try and stop the spread to therefore keep our school open.
Remote Education
Where appropriate, if your child is self-isolating and well enough to work, please get in contact with the school office and the year group team will set some work on Class Dojo for your child.
