Economic understanding
The schools Personal Development programme, alongside the legacy approach to learning enables children to develop their economic understanding. Across each academic year the children have at least one legacy project with a focus on enterprise. Through these projects the children will need to explore:
- Entrepreneurial/enterprise and ethical spending. How is money used by charities and governments to tackle inequalities? This will be explored through legacy projects.
- Weighing up risk. Making decisions on how many books, bags etc to order and the risk involved in this.
- Identifying profit margins for selling products (legacy projects)
- Below are examples of a number of projects involving this.
